- Because a cc frontend with UNIX switches and a better (i.e., UNIX
- compatible) make allows you to write portable makefiles that can be
- used under UNIX as well as under AmigaOS. I have ported many UNIX
- programs to the Amiga using SAS/C and I've found that rewriting the
- makefiles often comprises the major part of the porting job . . .
