  21. Because a cc frontend with UNIX switches and a better (i.e., UNIX
  22. compatible) make allows you to write portable makefiles that can be
  23. used under UNIX as well as under AmigaOS.  I have ported many UNIX
  24. programs to the Amiga using SAS/C and I've found that rewriting the
  25. makefiles often comprises the major part of the porting job . . .
