  21. Well, a lot of people have asked this very question, and it has been
  22. answered in other groups.  But I have a suggestion to add, so here
  23. goes:

  25. It is rather easy to write a program which queries the graphics
  26. database and prints the results.  You can do this with the existing
  27. 2.04 materials. 
  28.  
  29. Once any user gets his/her hands on an A4000 for a few minutes, said
  30. user can launch all the Monitor programs, and then launch this
  31. hypothetical Query program, saving the result to floppy.  The
  32. resulting file would be the definitive answer.  (It would also be a
  33. very LONG answer.)  The nice thing about this approach is
  34. that you don't even need to have the appropriate monitor
  35. attached to see all the specifications...

  37. The more enterprising programmer can add an option to actually display
  38. these screens, and the even more patient user can sit and watch them
  39. all :-) The only caution here is that it can take quite a while to go
  40. through all the monitor/mode combinations, even for only the V37
  41. (2.04) modes.  (Just look at the V37 <graphics/displayinfo.h> for a
  42. rough idea of just how many I'm talking about.)

  45. csa.programmer group, but some enterprising person out there may find
  46. it useful :-)
