- I still like most of the Gizmos2.0 applications I got so many years ago.
- I do have problems with two of them that I've always wanted fixed, so I
- think I'll toss out these questions.
-
- 1.) In rollodex, has anyone ever gotten the dialer to work? I've tried it
- on a Supra2400, Supra9600 and Courier Dual with no luck (w/WB1.3, 2.0 and
- 2.1). What pre, and post strings do you have entered? Their "Hayes"
- strings do nothing for me. Do you also use ;\013 for return? Does it work?
- What speed and other settings do you use in your serial prefs prefs?
-
- 2.) Their otherwise excellent calculators do not recognize all of the keypad
- keys (the ()*+ and enter key). Back under 1.2 there was was a small,
- somewhat flakey program called "keys" that fixed the problem, but it only
- crashes under 2.0 or later. Has anyone ever figured a patch for these
- calculators. I really like them, but without keypad support they are hard
- to use.
-
- Thanks for helping me with some of my old Gizmos questions.
-
- And BTW- how about some cheers for these early (1986!) Digital Creations
- gems. They may still be the best set of all-purpose desktop utilities ever
- written for Amy.
