- (Since I just got home from the WOC/A show in Pasadena, CA (wonderful
- show.. lots of new products, more from me on this later)).. I haven't
- read "the news" yet today so I don't know if anyone else has posted
- this. Here goes...
-
- During a Keynote speech at the show by David Achambault, Director
- of Business Marketing, Commodore U.S.A., one great old guy, namely
- Jay "Father of the Amiga" Miner was presented with the first consumer
- Amiga 4000 in the world, according to Archambault. (Actually Jay told
- me latter that CBM will ship him the machine "within a week".. the
- one he was handed during the presentation was for show only).
-
- This is a fitting and proper tribute to Jay and the work he did to
- bring the Amiga forth into the world.
-
- Jay was wheelchair-bound due to a recent health problem and was being
- pushed around the show by a tireless member of a user group who
- volunteered the task.
