  10. (Since I just got home from the WOC/A show in Pasadena, CA (wonderful
  11. show.. lots of new products, more from me on this later)).. I haven't
  12. read "the news" yet today so I don't know if anyone else has posted
  13. this. Here goes...

  15. During a Keynote speech at the show by David Achambault, Director
  16. of Business Marketing, Commodore U.S.A., one great old guy, namely
  17. Jay "Father of the Amiga" Miner was presented with the first consumer
  18. Amiga 4000 in the world, according to Archambault. (Actually Jay told
  19. me latter that CBM will ship him the machine "within a week".. the 
  20. one he was handed during the presentation was for show only).

  22. This is a fitting and proper tribute to Jay and the work he did to
  23. bring the Amiga forth into the world.

  25. Jay was wheelchair-bound due to a recent health problem and was being
  26. pushed around the show by a tireless member of a user group who 
  27. volunteered the task.
