  27.  Commodore has plans for an 030 accelerator card for the Amiga 600. There
  28. are also a few third party companies working on designs for accelerators. 
  29. These accelerators will plug into the PCMIA slot. This allows for easier
  30. upgrading and cleaner upgrades. No more layering daughterboard after 
  31. daughterboard the way you upgrade an Amiga 500. Commodore even has plans
  32. for a 386 Bridgeboard for the Amiga 600. Unlike the Atonce which plugs into
  33. the  CPU slot. This board plugs into the trapdoor!

  35.  The A600 with it's built in Harddrive and 1 meg chip expandable to 2 megs of
  36. chip is already better then a stock A500. The low price of $600 US also blows
  37. an A500 out of the water.

  39.  Not to mention the A600 is just as expandable. Just because they use surface
  40. mounted chips does not mean it's not expandable. It just means developers
  41. will design new boards for use with the A600. As for motherboard upgrades.
  42. It's possible to upgrade an A600 buy unsoldering surface mounted chips. While
  43. it's not something most people can do. There are a lot of places one could
  44. take a motherboard to get the operation done!
