- Rumor-mongering ...

- Well, I hate to spread rumors, but this one is just too
- good: time to start the 4.0 rumors! According to a guy
- in the DMI booth, developers weren't allowed to break
- many things in 3.0, but are allowed to do anything in
- the 4.0 release which will have RTG/DIG. Now this is
- just hearsay and could be completely bogus. It would
- be nice if a Commodore person could comment on what kind
- of decisions went into the 3.0 release, with respect to
- DIG/RTG and compatibility.
-
- Didn't Andy Finkel say a while back that 2.0 was called
- 2.0 because it was expected to break a lot of things? Perhaps
- Commodore's softening up on their numbered releases or DIG/RTG
- is going to break just about everything in sight. Perhaps
- it was smarter to have released the AA chipset now so porting
- software to a DIG environment wouldn't be as hard when it
- does (hopefully) happen.
