- Well, I just heard it from Mr. Dione today and I wouldn't put your money on
- C= to put the AA chips in the A3000's. He stated that there was no
- compatibility with the existing A3000 and the AA chipset in his keynote address.
- Perhaps, some third party will figure a neat way to do it. I would hope that
- there will be RTG in the future, which may alleviate some of the problem.
- He mentioned some upgrade path for current Amiga owners to the A4000, but
- no specifics. This is not totally unexpected, but not very satisfying. Oh yeah,
- he said that ADos 2.1 was 3.0 without the graphics support for the new AA
- chipset. Does this mean that RTG on the Amiga is a myth? I am not going to
- sell my A3000 right away. I just got it a year ago. I will wait for the A4000T
- to come out and then I will give up my A3000. If it goes the way of the A3000T,
- that will mean about two years, which is about how much longer I expect my
- A3000 to be useful.( Mr. Dione mentioned March 1993 for the A4000T, right )
