- Hi,
- I would wait a little, simply because NEW machine are JUST around
- the corner, in fact they will be announced tomorrow. I have *just*
- received mail from someone who has had wind on an A2200 model, successor
- to the 2000 you liked so much. I would hang fast and go with one of the new
- machines, the A500 and A2000 motherboards are now old hat!
-
- I have recently upgraded from A500 to A500Plus to get 2.04/2mb as an
- interim move until I can afford one of the new things...
-
- If you buy a PC, you get a PC! Standard stuff, yes. Cutting edge
- technology, no. A PC always seems to be a non-WIMP machine struggling to
- be one - even a 386 is SLOW at 256 colours and Windows. I really believe
- you would get more FUN out of an Amiga than any PC, but to avoid getting
- the "old" hardware out of wanting to rush it!
-
- Even give it, say, just 2 weeks, and details of new and (hopefully)
- wondrous Amiga things will abound...
-
- Good luck! Let us know what you do...
