  21. But pay attention! There are several programs out there all named "touch",
  22. which do NOT EXACTLY do what the Unix-touch does.
  23. Unix-touch makes an open- and a close- systemcall. This updates the time
  24. stamp of the file, but it also _creates_ an empty file if it didn't exists!
  25. Some Amiga-incarnations of touch only 'setdate'. but the second feature
  26. is important - at least for me. You can easily install files like
  27. DOCS_on_the_2nd_Disk or !!READ_DOCS!! or something like this.
  28. Touch from DICE is a "real" touch, but I don't know about the other touches
  29. mentioned above.
  30. But if you don't mind not having the second behaviour, then of course all
  31. progs do well for you, including 'setdate' from ARP, I think.
