  25. There is a program available through FTP, as well as on Fred Fish's
  26. disk number 159, called TaskControl, which was written by J. Martin
  27. Hippele, which allows you to shut down tasks, visible or non.

  29. Granted, this is not an AmigaDOS command, so I apologize for coming
  30. across roughly there, Olaf... but I have used TaskControl rather
  31. successfully a number of times. As it sits, if you wish to get
  32. technical, there is not a line command to kill a task, but since
  33. TaskControl is an AmigaDOS _program_, I would guess it is close
  34. enough.

  36. Note: There is a more recent release of TaskControl available through
  37. FTP than the one on Fish Disk 159, but I am not sure of where it is
  38. posted. Any clarifications of this will likely be appreciated for the
  39. new user's sake! :-)
