  27. Well, the major architectural changes have come on the even chips for
  28. the 68000 family.  The odd numbered chips are enhancements with the
  29. same basic integer core and bus interface.

  31. 68000 -> 68010 added saving entire uP state to support VM

  33. 68020 offered a three stage pipeline and new bus
  34.  
  35. 68020 -> 68030  data cache and MMU added.  A major improvement but no
  36. basic change to the integer core.

  38. 68040 Not only an FPU added but a 6 stage pipline integer core.

  40. 68060  Well, Motorola is scheduled to talk about it next month.
  41.        Maybe a multiple issue processor
