- Hear hear! A better buffer would help for all this new V.XX technology around
- the corner....
-
- And while we're modifying all these little extraneous parts -- how about
- support for HOT insert/remove on the serial, parallel, keyboard and mouse
- connections? Or at least a daughterboard for these things so that IF (more
- like WHEN) those 8520s blow, we won't have to do the motherboard-replace
- shuffle.... [Does the A4000 do a better job of protecting against these
- cases?]
-
- Heck, a switch for the power to/from the ports to allow replacing connections
- while the machine is up would be one of those "added feature" things that
- marketing can make a big deal out of....
-
- Just my $.02 (or, as UC Berkeley signs indicate, .02cents worth, [sigh]).
