- Well, I've just recently received the Ram-32 board w/2meg burst capable
- (60 ns) ram on it...Whew...what a speed up from normal 25mhz operation...
- Now, I was also able to barely manage an '030 @50mhz with a 50mhz clock.
- The problem is..whenever I try to run the vxl/A500 @ 50mhz, and turn
- on the 32-bit ram, the system locks up!! At first, I thought it was
- power (still have normal A500 power supply), but when I think about
- it, I don't see how it could be when the system works perfectly @ 25mhz.
- Just doubling the clock should not increase power consumption should
- it? I did notice that microbotics had mentioned that if you were running
- @50 mhz, you need to have 60ns ram, or get the new FPGA chip if you
- have 80ns. I assume they were only talking about the ram on the Ram
- 32 board. It is 60ns so I should be okay there. Any ideas as to what
- could be the problem???

- PS - System: A500 w/Xetec hd controller, Xetec fastram w/8 meg 70
- ns, 1 meg chip, super denise, vxl-30 @25mhz, trying to go to 50 mhz,
- vxl-32 ram board w/2meg 60ns fast page.

- Thanks for help!!!
