  10. I intend to get an A4000 as soon as I can get ahold of one.
  11. And one product I would buy right away is a de-interlacer.
  12. Could someone from CATS possibly tell me how much a 
  13. video Slot De-Interlacer for the A4000 would run, approx,
  14. if someone decided to design/build one.  
  15. It would allow flicker free displays on all programs,
  16. in all modes, transparent of software, so you would save
  17. a lot of CHIP mem bandwidth by not having to use the
  18. Scan Doubled screen modes, which eat up 2X the regular
  19. non scan doubled modes bandwidth.
  20. It would also allow flicker free 1280X400, 800X600 etc
  21. modes, which cannot be scan doubled under AGA, due
  22. to the speed of the pixels in that mode.
  23. Also older programs and programs that boot from floppy
  24. would be forced into de-interlaced, smooth looking
  25. displays.

  27. Is a de-interlacer for the A4000 video slot feasible?
  28. if so would it be cost prohibitive?
