- no doubt.
-
- based soley upon the press releases, the A4000 sounds like a bomb waiting
- to go off. perhaps i'm letting marc barrett get to me, perhaps not. i bet
- many others are feeling the same way, and i for one _will not_ plop down
- nearly $4000 on a machine that seems to be destined to become the next A1000.
-
- i'm patiently awaiting something along the lines of an "A4500". with SCSI,
- repaired mother board, and the promised improved sound.
-
- hopefully designed by dave haynie.
-
- And a decent CPU. Even a 68020 would be wonderful (and appropriate) for a
- low end machine. Geez, a 68332 is a hell of a lot faster than a 68k and
- doesn't cost much.
-
- Anyway, I agree with the dismal asessments of the A4000 based on the specs.
- The last thing the Amiga market needed at this point was a new high-end
- machine that is a kludge job. Way to go C=. But then, I have come to
- expect this sort of thing from C=.
-
- But look at the bright side: they oughta start dropping prices on the A3000
- now!
