- Yes. I don't know what model the streamer was, but if it was a TDC36xx, then
- all you have to do, is to get a v04 version of the ROMs. Newer ones, does =not=
- work with the A3000 SCSI host adaptor. The v04 one does work fine, however.
-
- I have tried Ami-Back 2.0 and QauarterBack 5.0.2 with it, and they work fine
- with it. I myself use BTNTape 2.1 and GNUTAR, which I find much better for my
- purposes. The streamer is a model TDC3660 250Mb one, and when I start TapeMon
- included in BTNTape2.1, it reports:
-
- *** BTN-Tape Handler & Monitor ***

- TAPE: Proc 795E738 DevNode 794F94C
- scsi.device Unit-4 LU-0
- Drive: TANDBERG TDC 3600 -04.
- Sequential Access
- Use ^C to terminate TapeMon
- -BTNtape/RAR 2.1 (Oct 22 1991)
-
- The -04 is the ROM version of the streamer. I have tried 06, and it didn't
- work at all. Just switching ROMs cured the problem, and I have not experienced
- any kind of problems with the older ROMs. It runs just fine, about 4.7Mb/min
- with BTNTape.
