- Not only have I had no problems with my ECS Denise in my FlickerFixed 2.04 A2000,
- I highly recommend getting it! It allows you to use the new 2.04 video modes,
- some of which can ONLY be used with the FF and the ECS chipset. The FlickerFixer
- is almost PART of the ECS system. It does not create problems - it solves them.
- DO put an ECS Denise in your A2000.
-
- However, as for your other considerations, the Denise will not solve all of
- your problems. The "jittery right edge" is present no matter what - the Amiga's
- display output (total, not usable), seems to be a little too narrow for the
- average multisync monitor - the display on mine JUUUST barely fits on the screen,
- if I set the monitor to full horizontal size and ignore the TINY little bit of
- blank video at the left side of the screen. (As for the jittery right edge, it's
- not in the usable area of the screen, so it's just background color - you can't
- see it.)
-
- My one problem WAS that I could not center the screen - when the text overscan
- was set to full width, I couldn't move the display over far enough to the right
- to get it centered in the screen. I solved this problem with the MicroWay
- Flicker Fixer control program, which allowed me to push my overscan beyond
- Commodore-defined limits and into the extra gray space at the right of the
- screen.
