  26. Well, this is the most disappointing aspect of the 4000 for me.  I was
  27. really looking forward to great new graphics and sound.  They got 1/2 of it.
  28. But don't give up all hope!  This new machine has got to have at least 
  29. double the DMA bandwidth from how the graphics modes sound, so maybe there's
  30. room in there (time-wise) for more audio dma.  Certainly, to add four 
  31. more audio channels requires no more external pins.  It only presents
  32. itself as a problem when you try to integrate it into the internal register
  33. map (like interrupt bits, lots of additional registers for control).  It
  34. requires a bit of space on the chips, too.  (don't know how much, but I
  35. suspect it is significant.)

  37. Maybe we'll get better audio yet... But true, it should've been in there.
