  23. I have heard many times that Commodore doesn't make their monitors, they only
  24. OEM them from major TV/monitor manufacturers.  Many people complain that
  25. their A1084/A1084S monitors die young and start making whirrs/poping sounds
  26. as soon as they start being used.  I have a A1084S-D1 which was bought a bit
  27. over a year ago.  To date it has NOT done anything out of the ordinary and
  28. I am quite pleased with it..  I have also seen A1084S monitors that were
  29. very different that mine, a friend has one that is missing over half the
  30. controls and knobs (mine has knobs in the back that can 'scrunch' the screen
  31. and reposition it vertically, a nifty feature for all those PALBOOTED
  32. EuroDemos)
