- This isn't really a major problem, just a minor annoyance...
-
- Whenever I power cycle my modem, my Amiga (500) reboots. This is mildly
- annoying because I don't need to leave my modem on all the time, but I have
- to or else reboot.
-
- I do a lot of hardware hacking on my machine, and the motherboard has
- smoked a few times for various reasons, so perhaps this is a by product of
- that... but according to the Hardware Reference manual, there is a Computer
- Reset line on the serial port...
-
- Is there some way I could tie that line off, up, or down, so that this
- wouldn't happen? The modem is the only serial product I use, and I see no
- need for the modem to be able to reset my Amiga, this line shouldn't be
- essential is it?
-
- My system is an Amiga 500 in tower with Palomax MAX-125 HD card, LUCAS
- 020 card, a501 (1M chip, 4 megs 32 bit), 1084s, color dot matrix,
- supraFAXmodem v32 and hardware handshaking cable...
