  11. board).

  13. I have recently bought some 1/256k chips (61256) to boost me up to
  14. 1.5Meg(from 1Meg).
  15.  
  16. I installed the chips        ->   No Problem.
  17.  
  18. To get it working            ->      NO!

  20. I was told to pull out the centre jumper on the expansion card to activate
  21. the extra memory.

  27. The problem is that it shows the extra RAM but practically no programs
  28. work,the machine gurus.

  30. I rang Commodore who said pull out Jumper 5/6 and put in 9/10.
  31. I just got the old grey screen blues.

  33. After hours of FUN...(@#*@$!) yanking out jumpers etc. I feel like ripping
  34. the little legs off the "61256's"

  36. I have also been told that the MC68000 processors which came out with the
  37. earlier A2000's (B4 AGNUS & GARY)could not accommodate the extra memory
  38. It has a "masked bit" (Apparently with 'OB26' printed on it).

  40. But why is the expansion card "1Meg" when the machine can't handle it (Joke
  41. from Commodore) ?

  43. Does anyone know how to fix this.
  44. It would be greatly appreciated.
