- I think I know what you're talking about. Mine did the same thing. Every time
- the monitor flickered off a very high pitched whine (some people can't hear
- this) came from the monitor. The noise went away and the screen came back if I
- tapped on the side. The problem only got worse until I could no longer get the
- monitor to stay on for any length of time.

- I'm afraid I don't know how to permanently fix it. My only advice would be to
- start saving your money. If you do figure out what went wrong and how to fix
- it, please post or E-mail the solution to me since my old 1084 is still sitting
- around somewhere.
