-
- That gets you a 25MHz Quadra. You need to get RAM, video RAM, etc...By the
- time you add it up you're talking over $3000. With Quadra and other Mac
- pricing changing so rapidly, that's close to what one would pay for one
- anyway[ education].
-
- Mind you, I did think the upgrade price was a bit higher than your quote.
- Last time I checked was a few months ago. Has it dropped?
-
- By the way, you should really take into consideration
- IIcx->IIci->Quadra 700
- if you're following the upgrade route.
-
- Thank's for the number. It's almost worthwhile! People used to pay
- $1000 to
- go from an 030 NeXT to the 040 one.

- Philip:
-
- VRAM? Not needed, nor is RAM or anything else. It comes with 4M.
- RE:not worth it - perhaps. The Quadra 700+VideoSpigot+4M/80M +
- Quicktime/Adobe Premere/Aldus Persuasion is only $4200. That's a VERY
- good price for a 24 bit Mac.
