  31. There are several choices for RISC if you want to go that route.

  33. MIPS R4000 is respectable and was supported until Intel convinced
  34. everyone that P5 with perform as well without radical code changes
  35. (probably true)

  37. SPARC or SuperSPARC - Option of running SUNos/Solaris

  39. Power/PC - Put the same uP that Apple AND IBM have running and run
  40. there OS and get those apps.  Then flip back to AmigaDOS.

  42. ALPHA - VMS and OSF/1 now running (at least VMS is beta testing RIGHT
  43. NOW) and Windows NT.  There is internal code in the ALPHA that changes
  44. for each OS.  An amiga version may best run on an OSF/1 or Windows
  45. version.

  47. 88100/88110 - Well, a respected design, but Motorola is having trouble
  48. pushing it to 50Mhz according to rumor.  Rumor also has it that
  49. resources are being pushed to the PowerPC.

  51. I would rather see C= focus on getting an 060 board ASAP. Not 1.5
  52. years after everyone else does.  The modular design should expedite
  53. matters.
