- This may seem to be a strange posting, but it has everything to do with the
- Amiga being taken seriously as a gaming machine in the future. Right now,
- the Amiga has (unfortunately) taken a back seat to the VGA-driven IBM machines,
- which seem to grab all the attention in today's market. There are some simple
- things that can (and in my opinion must) be done if the Amiga is to again be
- respected as a game machine and bite back its share of the market.
-
- #1--A relatively low-cost graphics upgrade must be made available,
- either through Commodore or some third-party company, etc...
- Certain upgrades spring to mind, but cost and effectiveness must
- be considered. Some of these upgrades are: (HAM-E, Colorburst,
- Framebuffer, OpalVision).
-
- #2--Commodore has to figure out which upgrade(s) are to become the new
- Amiga standard, and they then have to make these graphic upgrades
- compatible with AmigaDOS.
-
- There's more that could be done, but this is a start.
-
- What now? Write letters to Commodore, demanding that they support their
- machine, by making a graphics upgrade available that is supported by AmigaDOS.
- WRITE!WRITE!WRITE!
