- You and I are at about the level. I only use my original 6 characters.
- I don't employ hirelings. My characters are around 12 & 13, and they
- are pretty tough, at least for the first island. Remember to equip
- bows, because you have an infinite supply of arrows. Ranged weapons
- are crucial to defeating many of the bad guys.

- I think you can sell the jewelry only at a blacksmith shop.

- Gee, I've never found more than one key of a particular color. I
- don't know what to advise here.

- No, that's a random variable in combat. Certain spells will lessen your
- vulnerability to getting hit, but the chance is still nonzero.

- Yes, because some armor is stronger than others. Gold and platinum
- are the best metal, and obsidian is the best mineral. A general rule
- of thumb is that the more expensive material is the better stuff.

- Just check the color map that came with the game. The play area is huge
- and there are many underground areas, castles, and towns which are not
- represented to scale on the map.

- I still prefer the Dungeon Master real time engine. I don't like timer
- pop monsters like Bane Of The Cosmic Forge (another HUGE 3-D style game),
- nor the "freeze time" special effects of Black Crypt. They are still
- very good games.
