  12. I just got the COOL library from ti.com, and now I have a problem.
  13. The file appears intact (I can read it with "more", etc.), but I
  14. can't get "tarsplit" or "gnutar" to split it.  Since it is about
  15. 8.5 meg, I don't really like the idea of splitting it by hand.

  17. Gnutar says "gnutar: can't open tar.out : (3)bad file descriptor"
  18. when I try to use it.  (In fact, it says that regardless of what
  19. options I feed it.)

  21. TarSplit just says "TarSplit: unknown linkflag".

  23. Has anyone else had this problem?  (And before anyone asks, yes,
  24. I have un-tarred files before using tarsplit.)

  26. Barring that, is there some other tar splitter that I might have
  27. better luck with?
