  24. Did you install the new Aux-Handler, Port-Handler and Mount command?
  25. This is necessary for the SER?: and AUX?: devices to work.  You'll
  26. find the new files in the cli directory of the A2232 Install disk.
  27. The Aux-Handler and Port-Handler files go into L:, and Mount goes into
  28. C:.

  33. Welcome to the club.  Thankfully you only need it to set the default
  34. port.

  36.    i was hoping to be able to use a dumb terminal with my 
  37.    computer and maybe hook other serial things up, but so far
  38.    all i can do is use terminal programs (by the way they work ok)
  39.    like ncomm and handshake and select any port i want. needless
  40.    to say i am dissapointed in paying what i did for it and it
  41.    doesn't work.

  45. See above.  You can do what you want to do if you install all the
  46. software correctly.
