- I don't know exactly where you live Jack but here in Ontario where
- we use the Northern Telecom DMS-100 and -200 (for cellular mostly)
- digital switches, we have the best telecom in the world (so they say) and I
- fully believe that I could achieve at least 24k v.fast if not the full 28k.
- During a voice phone call (since all our switches were converted to DMS),
- I have never once here noise spikes, other people's voices, other people's
- phones ringing, busy signals or any other trash in my voice phone calls or
- have I not been able to hear the person I've been talking to due to lack of
- volume. I have achieved long-distance links both short distance (ie. 60
- miles) and long-long distance (thousands) to people on vacation (read
- girlfriend :-) and have forgotten that it was long distance. I have full
- faith in Bell Canada handling V.fast.
