  21. I.   I  had  talks  with  HP since more than a year.  They allways
  22. failed  to  do  any  kind  of support, though, I know they do nice
  23. support  once  you are in.  There are other companies that do make
  24. Deskjet compatible printers (Citizen, Fujitsu, Brother).  I talked
  25. with  them and all I got is "we are looking into this, not decided
  26. yet..."

  28. II.   4-5  months  ago  someone from CBM called me and asked for a
  29. Deskjet  500C driver.  Sure, because I had no printer I still have
  30. no  Deskjet driver.  CBM contacted HP and now I'm HP PCP developer
  31. (funny how things go, ey?!) and still no printer. Also, nobody was
  32. willing to cover my uncosts for postage, phone, ink... (surely not
  33. much).

  35. III.  After 1-2 months I got the PCP developer manuals from HP and
  36. still:  no printer.  My time is running out...
  37.  
  38. IV.   Now that I still got no deskjet/laserjet from anybody, I was
  39. forced  to  go  commercial.  I got a deskjet and laserjet from the
  40. distributor  who will sell the drivers here in Germany and this is
  41. the end of the story:  pay!

  45. PS:   funny:   now  I  have  a  Deskjet  from  HP for three weeks.
  46. Several  months  later than we originaly discussed...  but it's to
  47. late  to make it for free...
