  11. Two observations from using RISC OS 3.10 on my A440/1:

  13. 1) When I switch on, a huge blue floppy disc is displayed on screen, with
  14. what looks like a !System folder icon on it. Also the bottom few pixels
  15. of the picture look to be corrupted. What is this for? It waits for a key
  16. press before booting, but does not appear to do anything. I can only
  17. guess that it is a prompt to insert a System disc. No modules are unplugged,
  18. so I assume that it is caused by an undocumented CMOS bit. I could do
  19. a power on reset, but I would prefer to know what it is for and what 
  20. caused its sudden appearance.

  22. 2) Occasionally (3 times so far) I have been going about my business in
  23. the desktop, when I have got the error "!!! CAM Map Corrupt!!!" (note
  24. the exclamation marks), which promptly kills the task manager. Any
  25. clues to what causes these would be much appreciated.
