- I have just used RISC OS 3.1 on a (different) ARM2 A3000, and whilst it
- is certainly a little slower than RISC OS 2 used to be, I would say that
- the speed was acceptable. I have yet to work out why it seemed to be much
- slower on my father's machine, where it was not acceptable (any ideas?).
- I no longer have any great reservations on upgrading on account of the speed.
-
- Apparently there is a simple reason why RISC OS 3.1 upgrades are in such
- short supply - they have all been recalled by Acorn (from the dealers).
- Unfortunately the installation guide pictured the A5000 RISC OS 3.1 ROMS
- inserted the wrong way round, so all of the upgrade packs not currently
- installed have been recalled to have changes made.
