- That may be the best answer, but the *realistic* answer is `When I have
- 50 quid to spare,' which could be a long time for all us student Arc owners.
- It's not a trivial amount of money, in fact it's probably about a week's
- income for an undergrad.
-
- Besides, I've only ever heard the new RISC OS 3.10 features described as
- "useful" or "handy" or "nice". RISC OS 2.00 (known at the time as "RISC OS")
- was packed with things that the rather primitive-feeling Arthur simply
- couldn't do. That was why everyone was forced to abandon Arthur and buy it.
- The step from Arthur to RISC OS 2.00 was huge, the step from RISC OS 2.00
- to 3.00 sounds rather superficial to me. I really can't see it replacing
- 2.00 in the way 2.00 did Arthur, it's just too hard for most home and school
- users to justify the cost.

- What a good idea, I'll try this at the Acorn User show, I'm sure Acorn won't
- mind me doing this to their machines will they?

- I'd certainly enjoy being able to afford it, especially if I could afford
- the PRMs too.
