  10. A few questions. Mainly aimed at Acorn.
  11.  
  12. Is the Ethernet hardware on the A5000 NS on a podule, ie it uses a
  13. podule expansion slot? 
  14.  
  15. Does the A5000 NS come with any software to drive ethernet (TCP/IP or AUN)?

  17. Does RISC OS 3.1 !Config surport ethernet?

  19. I have ordered an A5000 NS from my dealer, (The DataStore) how long
  20. will I have to wait?

  22. On another note. My Mum bought an A3010 Family Solution last week for
  23. her self (DTP) and my sister to use (A levels). I must say How
  24. impressed I was with the quality of the manuals espically the welcome
  25. guide. The audio tapes are great for my Mum who has never used a
  26. computer before, as is RISC OS 3.10.

  28. How long before the memory upgrades are avilable for the A3010. If
  29. they are just simms can I upgrade it myself? There do not seem to be 
  30. any links for the memory size so does the A3010 auto sense the amount 
  31. of memory in the machine?

  33. From using the A3010 and RISC OS 3.10 ie ho harddisk, I realy like the
  34. auto disk detection. Whey you take a disk out of the drive the machine
  35. then polls for a new disk. But this only seems to happen when you have
  36. a message from RISC OS to insert a disk. Is it possible to write some
  37. code to poll the floppy drive only when the drive is empty and then to
  38. display the disc's directory display automatically. This would be
  39. realy useful on a floppy only system.

  41. One annoning feature of the A3010 is that the PSU seemes to buzz. Is
  42. this ment to happen? If I tap the computers case it stops!

  44. On the whole I think the A3010 is an great home computer. The main
  45. advantage being very easy to use due to RISC OS. Well done Acorn.

  47. Could some one post the difference betwwen the Acorn Pocket book and
  48. the Psion series 3. Does the Acorn pocket book come with a spelling
  49. checker? How long before we can buy an Acorn pockey book?
