- Ah, but Linux is free and works well. BSD386 is getting very
- close.
- Since Linux is advertised as "beta" I thought it would be
- prone to crash. But friends have been running it with no problem,
- and supposedly many non-hacker types have been running it for months
- without a hitch. Then you just need a 486, at least 4 megs memory,
- and a large hard drive.
