- I am currently investigating various Configuration Management Systems
- to implement in an environment with a lot of existing code and data.
- Aside from the supporting version control, release management, data sharing,
- access control, documentation production, and problem reporting,
- the main requirements of the system are:
-
- - easy to incorporate existing code with the CM product
- (also can bring in existing RCS and SCCS repostitories)
-
- - the smaller the initial software developer involvement
- the better (transparent capabilites)
-
- - support for about 100 users
-
- - expandability (eventually to add program development tools)
-
- - a flexible configuration (no restriction on editors,
- allows user configured forms, etc.)
-
-
- Any input regarding software to perform to these specifications
- would be greatly appreciated.
-
- Please e-mail me and if I get enough responses I will post a
- summary to the newsgroup.
-
-
- Thanks,
-
