- I agree that copy protection (that is, some mechanism which physically
- prevents multiple copies of the same software to run), even for sites
- are totally legal, is a hassle for reasons that I think are obvious to
- most. Sun's PC-NFS falls in this category.

- But to cast FTP Software's protection mechanism as "copy protection" in
- the MS-DOS traditional sense is very misleading, IMHO. It's about as non-
- obtrusive as you can get. I haven't tried it so someone please correct me
- if I'm wrong but I understand you can copy their software all day long and
- the worst it will do is occasionally complain to the screen. This certainly
- seems reasonable to me and I am willing to live with it.
