  12. Unless it's changed since my last understanding of it (which I doubt
  13. but is possible), FTP Software's copy protection scheme will not
  14. require you to have a specific diskette per machine, nor will it
  15. generate any extra network traffic.

  17. The scheme requires each kernel to be stamped with a serial number at install
  18. time. I believe site licenses will receive a list of serial numbers and keys.
  19. If you have a 20 system site license, you get a master distribution and
  20. 20 serial numbers and keys, not 20 disks. Also, the serial number is
  21. piggy-backed on ARP packets, not in special broadcasts, so it doesn't
  22. cost you any extra traffic.
