- Did anybody manage to get a WD8013 aka Ethercard Elite 16
- to perform better than a WD8003?
-
- I have tried a brand new Ethercard Elite 16 lately. Couldn't find
- drivers for PC/NFS with the card itself, so I used the WD8003
- driver from PC/NFS. It worked like a charm, but when I did a
- ftp of /hp-ux to nul I got exactly the same transferrate of
- about 180 kb/s on the 33 MHZ 386 Compaq Deskpro.
-
- Could it be that the WD8003 driver isn't able to access the
- card in 16 bit mode? I made sure that there is no 8-bit card
- operating at the same time (I haven't got anything in there
- besides the builtin VGA)
-
- Any hints on how to get more throughput with the 16 bit card
- than with the 8?
