  11. Did anybody manage to get a WD8013 aka Ethercard Elite 16
  12. to perform better than a WD8003?

  14. I have tried a brand new Ethercard Elite 16 lately. Couldn't find
  15. drivers for PC/NFS with the card itself, so I used the WD8003
  16. driver from PC/NFS. It worked like a charm, but when I did a 
  17. ftp of /hp-ux to nul I got exactly the same transferrate of 
  18. about 180 kb/s on the 33 MHZ 386 Compaq Deskpro.

  20. Could it be that the WD8003 driver isn't able to access the
  21. card in 16 bit mode? I made sure that there is no 8-bit card
  22. operating at the same time (I haven't got anything in there
  23. besides the builtin VGA)

  25. Any hints on how to get more throughput with the 16 bit card
  26. than with the 8?
