  12. Hi,
  13. I just got my NE2000 card and a copy of Novell Lan Workplace for DOS (their
  14. name for TCP/IP software).  I'm using an external transciever (and, yes,
  15. I did move the jumper to use the DIX connector instead of the RG-58 connector).

  17. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get it working.
  18. I've gotten it to ping itself, but it can't see anyone else, and vice versa.
  19. Worse yet, I can't seem to get ne2000.com to unload; it complains
  20.     FATAL : Failed to locate MLID section heading in NET.CFG File.

  22. Plus, there's a mysterious option in ne2000.com, D, Enable DIX connector, that seems
  23. to be undocumented.  Is it needed?
  24.  
  25. One final question: where should NET.CFG be located?  In the directory where
  26. the utilities live?  In the current directory?  I get no guidance from the
  27. manuals.
