  16. I am having problems with the primary name server
  17. here that has some IP address which wouldn't die.

  19. when i do an nslookup
  20.  
  21. > solomon.technet.sg
  22. Server:  localhost
  23. Address:  127.0.0.1

  25. Name:    solomon.technet.sg
  26. Addresses:  192.169.33.3, 137.132.3.3, 192.169.33.1, 192.169.34.1

  29. 192.169.33.1 and 192.169.34.1 are very old
  30. address on solomon which have been assigned somewhere else
  31. already.

  33. On the name server directory on NUSCC.NUS.SG, the data base
  34. file "sg.db" does not contain this records at all!!
  35.  
  36. The only address that i wish the name server to advertise
  37. is 192.169.33.3, and forget the rest.

  39. I have changed the serial number on the file sg.db which is
  40.  
  41. "nuscc.nus.sg"
  42. primary  sg   sg.db
  43.  
  44. and on my solomon, which is secondary for sg,
  45.  
  46. "solomon.technet.sg"
  47. secondary sg nuscc.nus.sg  sg.da
  48.  
  49. I get a copy of sg.da that is different from sg.db
  50.  
  51. which include the ghost address, and a ttl for 137.132.3.3
  52. which is not specified at all in sg.db
  53.  
  54. I am planning to move the primary for sg to solomon.technet.sg
  55. and i need to overlap it temprorary, but before i do that i
  56. wish that at least it could stop propagating the ghost
  57. address 192.169.33.1, 192.169.34.1, and also the 
  58. 137.132.3.3 address as it will be removed later.
  59.  
  60. Any body has any idea what went wrong?
