  15. We have in place a Network Distributed Sniffer with 5 servers and
  16. 2 consoles.  In addition, we have a HP 400 workstation running
  17. HP OpenView Network Node Manager.  We would like to send SNMP traps
  18. from the Distributed Sniffer server to the Open View software,
  19. and have it display the traps.  On the Distributed Sniffer Server,
  20. We ran "ipinit -p" and set the SNMP trap address to the HP openview
  21. node.  Traps are indeed received by that node, and the trapd.log
  22. file contains messages that look like:

  51. Has anyone sent SNMP traps from DSS to Open View?  Any help would be
  52. appreciated.
