- PPP allows you to dynamically assign IP addresses to a connection.
- I have a UNIX host and would like to support up to 5 connections
- simultaneously. Has anybody written a script that performs the
- necessary magic to grab an unused IP address from a pool and
- start the caller on the correct interface?
-
- I though about looking at the incoming pty number and making pty0 be
- IP address number 1, pty1 number 2, etc... This simplistic approach
- simply has too many flaws to consider. If you have overcome this problem
- in the past, I would sincerely appreciate hearing your solution.
-
- Email is probably best. I will post a summary if there is sufficient
- interest.
-
- Many Thanks,
-
- Steve
