  14. Some days ago I posted a request for an overview of current standardisation
  15. efforts on security. Since a few people sent me mail asking me to forward
  16. them the results of my query, I thought the problem to be of general enough
  17. interest for an answer to be posted as well.
  18. Two kind souls independently pointed me to "Guide to Open Systems Security",
  19. a draft document from ISO/IEC JTC1/SC21/WG1. The overview I was looking for,
  20. is presented here. My version of this document is dated 1992-02-27, with
  21. reference ISO/IEC JTC1/SC21 N-6765. However, I guess newer versions exist,
  22. perhaps as an output document from the SC21 meeting in Ottawa last May.
  23. The document should be available from your "local" standards body.
