- I have CAP 6.0 PL100 running under SunOS 4.1.1 on a Sparc 2 with a Fastpath
- 5 for my gateway.
-
- I can get a volume mounted.
-
- I can see the files.
-
- I can get info on the files (butterfly-i).
-
- I can't open the files or copy files to/from the disk (which is what I want
- CAP for :)
-
- Any ideas anyone?
-
- I would guess that you are having a file locking problem. Under some
- older versions of SunOS (and other vendors versions of nfs), the file
- locking mechanism doesn't quite work.
-
- We were having problems similar to those you describe, until we
- upgraded to 4.1.2. Now things seems to work fine.
-
- Network based file locking is handled by rpc.lockd, in case that
- information helps.
