- Yeah, worked for me too, as the first paragraph of my post implied.

- The problem with the printers was correctly identified by Glen Glator
- as having to do with CRCs. I had to turn off the CRC code in the cap
- library and then the printers showed up on the network. My
- questions:

- 1) Is this a common problem with LaserWriters? It seems to affect
- both of ours which are different models. Is there a ROM upgrade that
- fixes it, or does the problem lie with CAP?

- 2) Is there a downside to turning off CRC? Does it compromise file
- transfers or anything else, or is it just used to identify ethertalk
- hosts?
