- Hi !
-
- Along this thread about Seagate (I've personally had bad experiences with
- several ST225 that seemed to overheat. After all, they have *no* internal
- ventilation, so if they are mounted in a confined space, this may be the
- reason), I'd like to know what fellow-netters think of Maxtor. Some
- responses in the thread seem to indicate that they are OK, but can this
- be confirmed ? The drive that interests me is a Maxtor IDE 210 Mb that
- Hard Drive International sells at $499 (august '92 prices, over here
- (Europe), PC-MAG is a bit late.... ). Since I live across the Atlantic,
- I'd really hate to send it back for an exchange.
- Last point : can I trust HDI ? (any good or bad experiences ?)
-
- Thanks in advance ! Looking forward to visit the States in october.
