- Hullo!
-
- Great zarkyons! Now I'm really in need of help.
-
- I have this token ring network with 100 PC:s (soon to be 200), all
- running IBM OS/2 1.3. They currently use the Communications Manager
- to do APPC to a mainframe. Now I have to get an UNIX machine connected
- to the network, and find some way to do e-mail and (automatic, script-driven)
- file transfers between the two universes. As bying TCP/IP software for all
- the PC:s gets to be pretty expensive, I think of that as a last resort, as
- well as being worried about co-existance problems with the current
- applications. Any ideas for something running on top of Communications
- Manager? How about easy-to-use e-mail software for OS/2?
-
- Please excuse the unfocused newsgroup distribution, but I couldn't decide
- between comp.mail.os2.unix, comp.mail.unix.os2, comp.unix.mail.os2 and
- comp.os2.mail.unix... :-)
- So, to avoid cluttering up the net, please reply by e-mail, and I will
- summarize to the appropriate groups, whatever they will be...
-
- Thanks in advance,
-
- Julf
