- I finally got the IBM TCPIP v1.2.1 device drivers to load thanks to David
- Bolen's tip re: using svga drivers incorrectly with Fahrenheit card.
- Seems if OS/2 tries to display the device driver loaded message for inet.sys
- and ifndis.sys when vsvga.sys driver is loaded and no `IBM real' svga card
- is there, the boot will die with a c0000005 message - only my interpretation.
-
- However. I have a U.S.Robotics V.32bis internal modem on com3 (3,3E8,5)
- which works fine for TE2, dos Procomm+, a couple others. I have no ether,
- token nor other network card.
-
- My SLIP.CMD is:
-
- SET slip.bps=19200
- SET slip.delay=2
- SET slip.dial=ATDT 491-#### [the actual correct phone # is in the file]
- slipcall -rd
-
- [end].
-
- The slipcall reports that it has reset the com port and the modem, then
- says that it is dialing... but then stalls and the modem never makes line
- connect sounds or dialing sounds or relay clicks or anything. The message
- that it's dialing just sits there till I get tired of it and kill it.
-
- Subsequent manual invocations of SLIP.CMD do the same thing.
-
- Can someone help? Thanks.
