- I have a client interested in running IBM's TCP/IP 1.2.1 on an OS/2
- server on an ethernet (thin coax) network.
-
- We are looking for an EISA ethernet adapter (bus mastering preferred)
- which will work with the above configuration. The Intel EtherExpress/32
- and all the other NE3200 clones do not, as of today, support this
- configuration.
-
- Gateway Communications (not to be confused with Gateway 2000!) makes
- an adapter which they claim will work with OS/2 2.0 for TCP/IP, but
- have only tested it with FTP Software's TCP/IP package.
-
- I have determined that the following manufacturer's cards do NOT work
- as of today in this configuration:
- SMC (Western Digital), Accton, CNet, D-Link, Novell, Micronics, and
- Microdyne/Exos.
-
- Please reply ASAP if you know of a card which will work!
